I know you are here with me when I say this year has been exhaustingggggg zzzz. We have had “more” time than ever (apparently) and yet the thought of getting up each day to “do more” is harder than ever to comprehend. What really baffles me is this constant need to be filling our day with things that put unnecessary pressure on us. My ethos to clients and transparency is that we need to eliminate expectations and limitations.
Here are my fail safe ways to recharge in 2020:
+ Set no goals – how good does it even feel to say that. Now this doesn’t mean that you lay around everyday and do nothing, it means that you are relieving pressure on yourself. Rather than a huge goal just give yourself something small to work towards each day that will leave you feeling satisfied
+ DIY Self care – My absolute favourite thing to do in life is still a bath and a face mask. When I worked in the corporate world I used to do this every Monday night at home, totally reframing Mondays and looking forward to them. As the days feel like they merge into one here in lockdown why not try something like this to change how you feel about certain days. You could even create your own little spa vibe.
+ Music – my ultimate way to zone out of the world and focus on exactly what I need to do. I have a perfect playlist for you actually
just click here.
+ Speak to someone – there is no getting around that 2020 has been a year like no other. It has been hectic and lonely at the same time. It feels really easy to get into that space where you can hide away and retreat from others and yet all this does is add to the mood. Speaking to someone on the phone (I get it no more zoom fatigue please) can be one of the best ways to recharge and absorb each others energy. My bestie and I chat for a long phone call every week and it is hilarious.
+ Set up a morning routine – now please believe me when I say I take this with a pinch of salt. I am not some blogger who has a 78 step morning routine, in fact check out my article on a
morning routine for people with a life
Let me know what is helping you recharge in 2020 as I need all the tips!
Love,
Kirstyx
