How to not freak out when you have you show up online

Now more than ever life is literally online. I get asked all the time about being confident enough “to talk on stories” and what is wild is that it honestly feels normal to shove my phone in my face and just start chatting away. Did that sentence trigger you? maybe, I get it – this result is a by-product of a media background, seven years working on my business, and building a community that I feel comfortable to do that with.

I often think back to seven years ago and how much I wish I had found someone to help me along the way, I felt almost too shy to ask for too much help. Fast forward  and I absolutely love helping people to create the exact brand and communication that suits them: there is so much beauty to be created in the beginning.

My biggest piece of “advice” is to always focus on why you are launching / creating, how is your mindset around all of this and then focus on your community, as without them its all for nothing. Here are my main pointers to show you how I am trying to do exactly that:

 

+ Get to know them: Please put time into your calendar each day to show up and interact with your followers. They are there with you supporting you along the way and they deserve that back from you.

+ Do not build your business on Instagram: you do not own that app, and if that is your focus have a check in with your ego. Create a place for your community to feel even closer to you: email list and closed Facebook groups, your website and free offerings. In the beginning it feels clunky and like a lot – I get that, but if your super clear on your why you will flourish.

+ Be real: I want to see you. I want to see what you have to offer and why I should follow you. You are here showing up everyday and how special is that….

 

I know they are three basic tips and that is still a lot. Its big! showing up online is big and do not let anyone else tell you otherwise. I would be a terrible coach if I didn’t have an offering to help you wouldn’t I….
