Do you ever feel like you are forcing your way through life? Like no matter how hard you try you still feel that you are getting nowhere – you even try to “manifest that shit” and slowly sink back down, curl up and start again.
I was there with you in 2020, I was constantly working, and while I achieved a lot and had a great year all things considered it just didn’t sit right with my values and core beliefs. I have always wanted to have a community with me but not at the cost of my free time, the space to do my own healing work and to truly practice what I preach. I had to implement some changes going into 2021 to really introduce the slow down.
I thought it might be useful to share what I have done so far. These small changes are creating subtle ripples across my world already:
+ What is your personal theme. Do a little bit of digging here, what do you really want your life to look like? Do you picture yourself going on long walks, slow mornings or maybe busy mornings – you need to know how you want it to look and plan what that could like that: my theme is …. Slow, Gentle, Hope
+ How does my life compare to my theme. What is the difference between how you are living and how you want to live? what is in your control that you can change today. For example, slow mornings are so important to me so that I can meditate, set my intentions etc and therefore it is in my control to not have any clients before 10am. I know for some that is not possible but what is possible for you?
+ Dedicate time to yourself each day. This may seem narcissistic to some but this is a basic human need for me and its a message that I want to spread. We all need our own space and time to grow, heal, learn, whatever that looks like for you. It can be 5 minutes in the morning while you have a shower, it doesn’t have to be this huge thing that eats into your day, it just needs to be something.
+ Declutter. This sounds so obvious but seriously, empty the drawers you never do, sign up to fashion rental sites to loan out those clothes sitting in your wardrobe, create space and clarity in your living space so that you can really focus your mind. I have spent January doing this and it feels incredible knowing that I actually know where the things I own are!
Your life is a puzzle and it is your choice how you want to piece it together. If this sounds like something you are interested then come and join us on the 6th February for The Slow Soul Retreat, a real morning of gentle growth and fun.
